THE ISERY DANCE CLUB
The Isery is a pirate ship that was made on the east side of the island to represent the memory of the pirates came to that side for the first time. and it's a nightclub for local people to go to have fun. "Isery" in garifuna language meaning: the new.
THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
The chocolate factory is a local, small-scale chocolate company in Roatan, Honduras, founded in 2010. Their primary mission is to create the finest chocolate in Central America, and obviously THE WORLD, while also giving back to the local indigenous communities and protect the rain forest where their cacao comes from. We'll visit us to learn more about their rare cacao beans, protecting the rain forest, the chocolate making process, the health benefits of cacao, the birth of chocolate and of course to try their delicious jaguar friendly chocolate.

On the way towards the pristine East end of Roatan island, I'll will take you the village of French Harbour, telling you interesting details of our history and culture. Next, we will arrive to Oakridge, where we will catch a cay.
DANIEL JOHNSON'S MONKEY AND SLOTH HANGOUT
We'll visit the sanctuary where you'll meet and learn about sloths, Capuchin monkeys, green and black iguanas, macaws, and parrots. Hold a sloth, go into a cage with monkeys and one or more jumps on you and sits taking it all in. The Capuchin monkeys are hilarious...mischievous, curious and so very interactive. And the birds are beautiful and also very interested in visiting anyone that enters their cage.
FRENCH HARBOUR
French Harbour is one of the oldest communities in Roatan and still serves as a commercial hub. The shipping industry is centralized here, there are multiple schools, as well as offices and shops. The island's newest medical center is also located in French Harbour, offering more convenient services to residents and visitors to the eastern side of Roatan.
French Harbour is east of the airport, the ferry, and both cruise ship ports. The Galaxy Wave ferry and Mahogany Bay cruise port are just outside French Harbour, making for a very quick journey if your destination is around this neighborhood.
COXEN HOLE
Although it would be a stretch to call this cluster of clapboard houses attractive, the town's rich heritage lends it a unique atmosphere. More cruise ships are docking at the port here each day, which has led to a retail boom and mega shopping plazas aimed at ship passengers.
SANDY BAY
Sandy Bay is much more relaxed, less crowded and more exclusive. You might even say it is more cultural than the other two areas in our West Bay Roatan section.

The beaches in Sandy Bay are not the stereotype Caribbean White Sand Beaches. They tend to be more golden that white, they are still beautiful and much protected by the reef that surrounds the north shore of the Roatan Island. Access to the reef for diving; as well as to outstanding fishing areas are readily available, making both activities one of the main attractions to Sandy Bay Roatan.
GUMBALIMBA PARK
GUMBALIMBA PARK is a family-friendly attraction on the island of Roatan that offers visitors the opportunity to meet with friendly Capuchin white-face monkeys and free flying exotics birds such as macaws, parrots, and hummingbirds. Visitors can spot indigenous lizards and iguanas all around the park. you can gaze at a variety of almost 2,500 preserved insects from all around the world in an air-conditioned insectarium, wander through a tropical jungle with nature trail, a suspension bridge, colorful flowers and butterflies, numerous waterfalls and more than 200 vibrant plants and tree species.
